Evelyn Lorraine MacLellan, 81

It is with great sorrow, that we, the family of Evelyn Lorraine MacLellan, announce her passing on Friday, July 31, 2026, in the Glace Bay Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Born in Glace Bay, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Leo and Frances McInnis.

Evelyn worked at the Royal Bank in Glace Bay for 35 years. Family was everything to Evelyn, and she loved spending time with the one’s she loved.

She is survived by her loving husband Albert Stewart MacLellan of 58 years; two sons: Stewart Dwight MacLellan and Paul Anthony MacLellan; a daughter Mary Leone MacLellan (Roy); a brother Leo and two sisters Mildred (David) and Mary.

Along side her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by a sister Leona Barrett.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902)849-4199. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1-2 p.m., and a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with Fr. McLeen presiding.
