In Loving Memory of William “Bill” Osborne

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, William George Osborne, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in Glace Bay, Bill lived a life defined by love, kindness, and dedication to his family. As a devoted husband to Jeanette, he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Together they built a home filled with warmth, strength and cherished memories.

As a father, Bill was a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. He took great pride in his daughter Kori Osborne Penney, and found his greatest joy in watching her grow and succeed. His patience, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be remembered always.

Bill was known for his generosity and compassion to others. Whether he was spending time with family, singing Karaoke in the barn or painting with the boys, he touched the lives of everyone fortunate to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette Osborne, a daughter Kori (Rob) Penney; grandchildren Kyla and Ethan Penney; and brother Calvin Osborne.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Duncan and Dorothy Osborne, as well as a brother Gary Osborne.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the nursing staff at the New Waterford Hospital.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, Glace Bay, service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
