In Loving Memory of Wilfred Allan Frederick Joseph Morash

August 12, 1948 – June 27, 2026

With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Wilfred Allan Frederick Joseph Morash at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Frederick A. Morash and Florence B. (Kneebone) Morash, Wilfred grew up in White’s Lake, where he developed an adventurous spirit, a remarkable work ethic, and a lifelong love of music—a gift passed down from his father that remained one of his greatest passions.

Wilfred was the kind of man who could do almost anything. A true jack of all trades, he was equally comfortable with a paintbrush, a guitar, or running his own successful printing business. If something needed fixing, building, or creating, Wilfred was the person everyone turned to. His hands built more than projects—they built memories, friendships, and a lifetime of love.

His greatest adventure began with the love of his life, his beautiful wife, Jean (Ewing) Morash. Together they shared a marriage filled with laughter, unwavering devotion, and countless adventures. They loved travelling with the Village Vanners, exploring new places together, and making lifelong friendships wherever the road took them.

Wilfred found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time following his wife in her garden, playing his old guitars, sharing stories with family and friends, and enjoying a good cup of coffee while talking about life.

A proud member of the St. Margaret’s Bay Radio Club, Wilfred formed lifelong friendships and created memories that will continue to be shared for years to come.

His heart was equally devoted to his community. He volunteered countless hours as a Scout leader, coached Little League baseball, and was deeply involved in the Hubbards community. Through the Bay Community Channel, he dedicated himself to recording local events, preserving memories for families, and celebrating the people who made the community so special. He never looked for recognition—his greatest reward was seeing others smile.

Above all else, Wilfred was a devoted family man.

Nothing brought him greater joy than cheering on his sons at the racetrack, attending his grandchildren’s activities, or simply being surrounded by the people he loved. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and each held a special place in his heart. Whether telling stories, offering advice, or sharing one of his quick-witted remarks, “Puppa” created memories that will live on forever.

Wilfred was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean (Ewing) Morash, the love of his life.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sons, Scott Morash Hubbard and Jason Morash (Nancy); his treasured grandchildren, Sammy (Katie), Matthew, Mary, Cody, and Hannah; along with extended family, dear friends, neighbours, fellow travellers, and countless people whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing him.

Wilfred will be remembered not for the things he owned, but for the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, humour and hard work. He taught those around him the value of family, community, and making the most of every day.

A Celebration of Wilfred’s Life will be announced at a later date.

As Willy would often say with his familiar smile,

“Well… bye for now.”

Though our hearts are broken, we know this is not goodbye forever.
