We have so many fond memories of Glen that I would never be able to write them all down here. What I remember the most though is the times that he would let me tell him about the movie or TV show that I had just seen. While growing up and hanging around with Amanda, Glen always had the time (and patience) to listen to me ramble on about whatever had caught my attention that day. This kindness and genuine interest in what others had to say has always stayed with me. I would eventually grow up, move away and start my own family. I remember coming back to Brookside when my kids were still very small and having a birthday party for them with my family. My son was very much into trucks at that time and his birthday cake was decorated with different trucks. Well, my son and Glen quickly bonded over the trucks and Glen once again patiently listened to the ramblings of a young boy.
Glen will be missed but in our hearts he will never be gone.
Our deepest condolences to Beth, Erin, Andrew and the entire family.

Dear Beth and Family, Debby, Derek and your Families
We have memories of summer visits to Miramichi, that long drive from Montreal anticipating visits with our extended family...parents, grandparents, and cousins. Glen, Debby, and Derek were likely daily destinations for Nancy and I when in Douglastown, given the proximity of their home to our Vye grandparents. We also fondly remember larger gatherings of our Vye Family at our cottage in Burnt Church. They are happy childhood memories. We are very sorry Glen's life was cut short by a very difficult illness.
Aunt Lanie, Leianne, and Nancy

We are saddened to hear of Glendon's passing. We cherish the great memories of our visits to New Brunswick & Nova Scotia! Enjoyed spending time catching up with the Farrell/Vye Families and learning all their histories. Glen liked receiving the West Coast Chronicles with stories of BC logging. A true gentleman & a class act! Sending our best to Beth & Family! Sincerely, Allen & Jennifer Watt

Meeting Glen and Beth in the summer of 1972 when we were novice house builders on Cathy Road Brookside was a treat. We were across the street with other great neighbours: Barry, Bob, Eunice et al it was a wonderful community of young families. Glen was always there to lend a hand as we built our houses. I’ve not seen Glen, Beth or their kids in decades but the memories of them are proof of the happy impact they had those many years ago are with me today. Glen was a wonderful person. Every memory for me puts a smile on my face. Condolences on his passing and joy for his positive impact on the lives he touched.

Never will I forget the many times that Glen and I enjoyed while he visited with his Farrell Grandparents in Fosterville, NB. We were youngsters who on occasion got into a bit of trouble, nothing serious. As we became adults, I loved having visits, less frequent however, with him and his family.

Dear Beth & Family,
I will remember my friend Glen for many things. He was capable, considerate, avid and aways willing. He was fascinated by big trucks and big construction projects. He occasionally had that devilish smile, which meant that he was up to something. But mostly I will remember him for his resilience. No matter the life obstacle, he kept moving forward. Truly admirable. May the heartache of your loss be soon replaced by the comfort of happy memories.
Take care… Gary & Margot

I knew Glen pretty much since the day I was born. As our across the street neighbour in Brookeside, he was one simply one of those familiar, constant people who always had a smile and a kind word. I feel incredibly lucky to have known him.
Sending my deepest condolences to Beth, Erin and the whole family. He leaves behind a lot of really great memories and will be missed.
