Ward Joseph MacIsaac, 77

We the family of Ward Joseph MacIsaac, 77, are heartbroken to announce his passing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Ward was the son of the late John and Alma MacIsaac.

Ward was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Glace Bay. He was employed with the Devco Machine Shop and Princ Mine; later in life was employed as a fisherman. Ward loved a good game of darts and playing Pool; He also enjoyed all types of sports.

Ward is survived by his loving wife Marie; a son John Thomas; daughter Alma Marie Bodimeode; stepbrother Ernie MacInnis, ON; grandchildren: Jessica, Maddison, Hunter, Kameron, and Ian; two great-grandchildren: Amelia and Jolen; as well as many other family and friends.

Along with his parents, Ward was predeceased by a stepsister Mary Margaret.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902)849-4199.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. St. Anthony Cemetery, Glace Bay.
