It is with broken hearts that we the family of Sharon Jamieson, 78, of Glace Bay, announce her peaceful passing at home on Monday, June 29, 2026. Born and raised in Table Head, Glace Bay, Sharon was the daughter of the late Herb and Cato Clarke.

Over 61 years of marriage Sharon and her husband Fred built a life they were deeply proud of.

Mom lived a quiet and simple life. She treasured being in her own home cleaning, cooking and loved being with her family. When mom’s parents were both living, she would go for a visit on Saturday’s and spend time with all her family. She was so proud to say that she was born and raised in Table Head.

Mom has been sick since 1979, and has never complained, she was so strong, determined, and courageous throughout her sickness.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband Fred; children Carla and Clarke (Rose); a grandson, one great-grandson Lauchie Jamieson and daughter-in-law Carrie Jamieson. Brothers Eldon (Denise) and Teddy (Anita); sisters Betty and Shauna.

Along with her parents, Sharon was predeceased by a son Fred, brother Shum, and mother and father-in-law Richie and Lena Jamieson.

Special thank you to Geraldine Metcalfe and mom’s brother Eldon who were by her side until the end.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
