My condolences to James' immediate family at the loss of their father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Fahey was also survived by his oldest sister, Carol (Fahey) McNeil, who resides in Ontario. When Jimmy first came to Ontario, Carol and her late husband Michael were happy to provide him with a place to stay while he found work and a place to live. He was eventually joined by his wife and two sons. As his niece, I and my siblings were excited to have two new little cousins. I have fond memories of visits back and forth with them at their little apartment on 1st Ave. We were sad to see them go but understood the call of the Island. I recall him to be a very kind, soft-spoken gentleman who reminded me of my grandfather.

The first time I met Jimmy is when I went to meet my sister Margaret for the first time. He greeted me with open arms at their home on Neville Street. He was I kind and pleasant individual. You will be missed Jimmy. May you rest in peace.

Fahey family: I met Jimmy when I worked at Canada Post sorting plant and also when I worked at the post office in Glace Bay. Jimmy was always respectful and a really nice person. Sincere condolences to his family. RIP Jimmy.
