Albert Michael “Ab” Frizzle

November 14, 1948 – May 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Michael “Ab” Frizzle on May 28, 2026, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 77. Ab passed peacefully with his wife Mary and family by his side.

Born in Halifax on November 14, 1948, Ab was a proud Nova Scotian whose life was defined by family, friendship, community service, and a genuine kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Raised in Fairview and spending part of his childhood in New Brunswick, he developed the values of honesty, hard work, and respect that would guide him throughout his life. He graduated from Halifax West High School.

Ab earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University and went on to build a successful career in accounting and financial management within the construction industry. Respected for his professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic, he was valued by colleagues throughout his career.

For 35 years, Ab and Mary shared a life filled with love, companionship, and a shared love of family.

A dedicated community leader, Ab believed strongly in giving back. He served as President of the Lower Sackville Kinsmen Club, National Treasurer of Kin Canada, and Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee for the construction of the Sackville Sports Stadium. Through years of volunteerism and service, he helped strengthen the community he loved and left a lasting impact on many lives.

Ab loved spending time with family, whether celebrating milestones, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He enjoyed hockey, baseball, and golf, which brought him many years of friendship, camaraderie, and enjoyment.

Ab is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons, Marc (Susan), Michael “Mike” (Andrea), and Matthew “Matt” (Kristina); his stepchildren, David (Shelley), Derek (Lori), and Danielle (Josh); his grandchildren, Makenzie, Ryan, Carley, Owen, and Ben; his step-grandchildren, Kirk (Rachelle), Jesse (Theri), Kyle (Jenny), Nicky, Cody (Courtney), Taylor (Jayson), Connor (Maia), and Jake; and his step-great-grandchildren, Peyton, Ryder, Logan, Charlie, Alayna, and Rowan brought much joy to his life.

Ab is survived by his siblings, James “Jim” (Nancy), Bev (Gerry), and Judy (Ken), whom he loved with all his heart.

Ab was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He deeply treasured the many memories, laughs, and conversations.

He is also survived by Heather McIsaac, mother of Marc, Mike, and Matt.

Ab was predeceased by his parents, John and Glendine Frizzle; his brother, John; and his sister-in-law, Aileen.

The family extends sincere appreciation to T.J. Tracey Funeral Cremation and Burial Specialists for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on saturday July 18, 2026 from 2pm-4pm in the Sackville Kinsmen Club, 71 First Lake Drive, Lower sakcville, NS.
