She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Reserve Mines Fire Hall and Reserve Mines Pensioners Club. She also babysat scores of kids over the years – too many to mention.
Maureen was a fantastic wife and mother. She was an excellent cook and had many great recipes that many have tried to replicate without success, including her famous scones. She enjoyed playing golf, baseball, bowling and darts. She loved listening to music and singing in the choir at St. Joseph’s Parish and in the Coal Town Choir. Maureen also enjoyed travelling with her husband and the “crew,” going to dances and family gatherings. There were many great parties over the years with lots of fun, laughter, dancing and a drink of rum every now and then.
