Hassan Saad Issa Obituary

Hassan Saad Issa, 46, of Beechville, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, surrounded by family and so much love.

Born on May 31, 1979, in Andaket, Lebanon, he was the son of, Salwa and Saad Issa.

Hassan spent many years working alongside his father in the family business before pursuing a career as a bus driver with Metro Transit.

In January 2011, in his hometown of Andaket, Lebanon, he married Norma Al Jammal, and together they built a beautiful life. He was known for being the brightest light in the room. Hassan had an unmatched sense of humour; there wasn’t a person he didn’t try to connect with. Whether it was the person making his coffee, the cashier at Canadian Tire, or anyone in between, he never walked away without finding a way to make someone laugh, smile, or feel valued.

He was a storyteller and was often told he had missed his calling as a comedian. When he walked into a room or began speaking, everyone who knew him stopped in their tracks and listened carefully, knowing they were about to be entertained for hours on end.

Hassan was an excellent cook and a true BBQ master. From a young age, family was the most important thing in his life, and he made sure to stay close to the people he loved most, creating beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. His wife and two daughters were his world, and he spent every waking hour making sure they had the best life he could offer.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Al Jammal; and his two daughters, Victoria (12) and Annabelle (7) Issa; his sister, Jihan El Alchab, and family; his sister, Chirine Issa, and family; his brother, Jad Issa, and family; his stepmother, Carolann Toulany; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Saad and Salwa Issa; his grandparents, Victoria and Ibrahim Issa; his grandparents, Moutiaa and Yousef Ibrahim; his grandparents, Bashir and Sadie Toulany; and his aunt, Leila.
