Joseph “Joe” Edward Lynk

We the family of Joseph “Joe” Edward Lynk, of Glace Bay, announce his passing on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Joe was the son of the late Clifford “Kippy” and Irene (Saccary) Lynk of Bridgeport, N.S.

Joe was an avid painter, and he also loved to draw; he had been known to gift his beautiful paintings to friends and family, as well as proudly display them throughout his home. Whenever he could, Joe loved to fish and cast a line, go Clam digging, and getting Mussels.

Joe is survived by a son Mark (Sarah) Lynk; brothers: Wesley, Wendell, Myles (Cha) Karen; sisters: Lorraine (Jerry) MacGillivary, Darlene (Eddie); brothers-in-law Flynn Locke and Reg Purcell; sister-in-law Deb Lynk; grandchildren Nora and Finlay; dear friend Irene; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Along side his parents, Joe was predeceased by sisters Linda Locke and Ann Denise Purcell; brothers Cliff Jr. and Leo; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
