We the family of Donald James Kelly, 59, of Tower Rd., are heartbroken to announce his passing at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of James Kelly and the late Sarah Kelly.

Donald loved to make us laugh with his many stories and was always quick to put a smile on anyone’s face. He also enjoyed Classic Rock and was an accomplished Brick Layer.

Donald is survived by his dad James Kelly, his beloved brother Vincent Kelly; two nieces Tiffany and Aleisha Kelly; as well as a grand niece Ember Kelly; and beloved dog Jellybean.

Along with his mom Sarah, Donald was predeceased by his beloved brother Timothy Kelly.

A special thank you to the staff in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre and to the lovely people of Tower Rd.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Interment will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 2 p.m., in St. Anthony Cemetery, Glace Bay.
