Victor MacMillan Josey, 91, of Halifax, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday April 20, 2026 at Opal Ridge Hall in Dartmouth.

Born in Spray Bay on May 24, 19341, he was the son of Albert and Janie (Siteman) Josey. Survived by wife, Judy (Marshall); son, Clifford (Halifax); daughter, Margo (Ontario); and his pride and joy grandchildren, Liam, Marshall, Mitchell, and Ella. Also survived by Reid (Moose Brook) who was raised like a brother to him.

He was predeceased by brothers, Emmerson, Ernest, Lloyd, Bruce, Albert, Robie, and sisters, Anna, Golda, Margaret, and Helen.

He worked as a stevedore in Halifax and later as a carpenter with local 83.

The family would like to send sincere thanks to the staff at Opal Ridge Hall in Dartmouth for the amazing care they gave to Victor the last 7 months of his life. The family has heard from many staff how Victor loved to whistle and tease the staff.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A family burial will take place at a later date.
