Wesley (Wes) Joseph Routledge, 84

Glace Bay, N.S.

We the family of Wesley Joseph Routledge, 84, of Glace Bay, announce his passing on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his sister at his side. Born in Glace Bay, Wesley was the son of the late Ingie and Mary Routledge.

Wes was a member of the U.S. Army for 25 years, where he served as a Behavioural Science and Psychiatric Specialist before coming home to Cape Breton to be closer to his family.

Wes is survived by his sister Wyn (Routledge) Everett of Fredericton, N.B., as well as several extended family members.

Along with his parents, Wes was predeceased by a sister Lois MacDonald.
