It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jordan Edward MacDonald, of Glace Bay, on April 16, 2026, at the tender age of 34 years.

Jordan completed his basic training with the Canadian Forces in June 2010 and spent 4 years learning his trade of Vehicle Technician. He made long-lasting friendships throughout his career in the military and left an impact on everyone he worked with.

Jordan also completed a course in Heavy Equipment/Truck and Transport Repair at NSCC in 2013, which began his full-time career. He travelled to several locations across Canada working with his trade, taking on every challenge he was assigned. Jordan spent time working in the Arctic and swam in the Arctic Ocean, enjoying his dip despite almost getting hypothermia.

Jordan lived life to the fullest, making an impact on everyone he met. He was always the life of the party and could make you laugh even during somber situations. Jordan didn’t take life seriously and lived day to day. He was fearless and kind and had mesmerizing blue eyes, and self-confidence that could rival any politician you could name.

Jordan will be lovingly remembered by his mother Tammy MacMullin (Kevin); father Tim Corbett (Teresa); biological father John Gatza (Michelle); sister’s Amanda, Alyssa (Victor); brother’s Ryan and Jesse; stepsisters Samantha and Cynthia; stepbrothers Michael and Richard; as well as his loving partner Dahlia Hofer and two beautiful children Jensen and Alayah. Jordan will also be deeply missed by his maternal grandmother Jean MacDonald (Bill) with whom he had a special bond; paternal grandmother Betty. He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jordan had too many friends to name individually, but he will be missed by many people who cherished his sense of humor and outgoing personality.

Jordan was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Edward MacDonald (his namesake), and by his paternal grandparents Pius and Murial Corbett, as well as his aunt Cathy Blue.

Words cannot express how much he will be missed and will be loved forever in our hearts.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902-849-4199).
