Heather Gail Tillman Obituary
Heather Gail Tillman, 65, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026 in Bedford, NS with her family by her side after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born in Halifax, NS on August 11, 1960 she lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and generosity. She had a deep love for family, music, and her greatest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shauna Krafft and Melanie Pescitelli; and grandchildren, Kinsley and Cooper Krafft and Sophia Pescitelli who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary Paul Tillman; and parents, Charles & Sylvia Mossman.
She was a beloved crossing guard for Sycamore Lane school on Riverside Dr from 1999-2013.
At a young age she became interested in guitar and attended lessons at Harry Jackson’s school in Halifax. She established H.G.S.M guitar instruction where she instructed students how to play guitar/read sheet music in her home-based business. She wrote numerous songs, played at weddings/functions and developed three enriching musical programs with increased difficulty for her students to excel. The business successfully operated for 17 years and became well known across Sackville. Due to her Parkinson’s diagnosis, she was forced to retire, dissolving her business in 2013.
Despite facing Parkinson’s with courage, she remained sharp-witted and strong in spirit, continuing to connect with those she loved.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
Her legacy of love and strength will live on in all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
