Josephine Eileen Melnick Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Josephine Eileen Melnick of Glace Bay on Sunday, April 5, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Tapp) Wall and Emmanuel Wall.


Josephine loved to knit, crochet, spin and card sheep wool, and was an excellent cook.


She is survived by her brothers, Thomas Lawrence, Raymond Lawrence, Douglas Wall, and David Wall, her sister, Ethel Close, and many nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Eva Keylor, and stepfather, John Raymond Lawrence.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, NS. As per Josephine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
