Nancy Louise Hermiston age 85 of Porter's Lake, N.S. Passed away March 27, 2026 in Oceanview Care Home, Eastern Passage, N.S.

Nancy was born in the city of Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of the late, Cyril and Mary (Halloran) Barchard.

Nancy worked as a secretary until she retired, her later years she worked for DND (Department of National Defense).

She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Army, Navy and Air Force Club in Dartmouth for many years. She participated at the Seniors Clubs for both Porter's Lake and Lake Echo. Throughout all the years she was an avid BINGO player, she participated in her last Bingo game the week before she passed.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Russell Hermiston; daughters, Kathleen Marie Hermiston, Barbara Ellen Clouston (Timothy Clouston); brother, Brian Richard Barchard; sister, Joan Catherine Barchard; 5 grandchildren, Micheal Renowden (Roxy Renowden), Kaylee Hermiston (Justin Thomas), Brittney Campbell-Hermiston, Samantha Hermiston, Russell Hermiston; 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter Renowden, Zoey and Lainey Thomas, and several nieces.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Peter Richard Hermiston; her partner, John Alexander Thomas; sister, Patricia Ann Magnuson; brother, Lawrence Edward Barchard.

Funeral Mass will be held April 08, 2026 at 10 A.M. in Saint Vincent de Paul Church, Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth, N.S. Rev. Alain Dosseh officiating.

Interment at a later date in Saint Anthony Cemetery, Fredericton, N.B.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
