Kendall Patrick Kinsman Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kendall Kinsman, aged 35, the beloved son of Jackie and John Crouse, brother of Meghan Romero Lowe-Wylde (Stratford), stepbrother of Ryan Crouse (Halifax), grandson of Eleanor Betts (Sydney), nephew of Ron Betts (Lawrencetown), uncle of Maddox, Orrin, Vicente and Sol, and friend to many.

Though his time with us was far shorter than we ever imagined, he filled his years with a passion for life that many never experience in a lifetime. He had a deep love for the outdoors and felt most alive surrounded by nature, whether on the water or on the slopes. He was happiest waterskiing and tubing on Lake Mush in the summer, often showing off his impressive skills to friends with a grin that was impossible to forget. In the winter, you could find him snowboarding, chasing the thrill and freedom he so cherished. Skateboarding was another passion of his in his younger years—an expression of his fearless spirit and determination.

From the age of 12 to 19, he was a proud member of the St Margaret’s Bay Sea Cadet program, an experience that shaped much of who he became. He dedicated himself to the program with enthusiasm and pride, forming lasting friendships and developing skills that stayed with him throughout his life. His summers spent at HMCS Acadia in Cornwallis were especially meaningful, filled with adventure, growth, and memories he carried with him always.

In his younger years, he discovered a surprising talent for rap battles. With quick wit and confidence beyond his years, he held his own—and often triumphed—against more experienced competitors, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed his talent.

What truly defined him, however, was his enormous heart and his mischievous sense of humour. He cared deeply for others and always wanted to make things better, to lift people, and to bring light wherever he could. His kindness, generosity, and genuine love for people were at the core of who he was.

Above all else, he loved his family. They were his anchor, his greatest source of pride, and the people he cherished most in this world. His love was felt deeply and will be carried forward by those who knew him best.

He also held a very special place in his heart for his dear Noori and her three children. He cherished the time he spent with them, always showing up with his big heart, his laughter, and his unwavering kindness. The bond they shared was one of deep care and connection, and they brought him so much joy.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on—in the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely. He will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
