Alexander Joseph Fraser Obituary
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, Alex Joseph Fraser.
Born in Reserve Mines, Alex was the youngest child of the late George and Mary “MacEachern” Fraser, and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Alex was a member of Local 1115 Laborer’s Union for 35 years until his retirement in 2009. Alex’s main purpose in life was pleasing his family, who he loved dearly.
Alex is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Alex Jr.; daughter, Tanya; and granddaughter, Hailey, all of whom he loved and cherished so much.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers; Alton, George “Sonny”, Herbert “Bert”; and sisters, Isabel King and Olive Vingar.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, 902-849-4199. In keeping with Alex’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation.
