Ronald Joseph Navarole Obituary

Ronald Joseph Navarole, 75

Reserve Mines, N.S.

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father and husband and grandfather Ronald Joseph Navarole of Reserve Mines, N.S., on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Tony Navarole and Helen Martell.

Dad found joy in many things, such as fishing, antique cars, and long phone calls with his beloved family, but he was happiest with a guitar in his hand, sitting around a fire, singing, and telling stories; his amazing storytelling never failed to keep everyone laughing.

He loved Christmas and took immense pride in decorating his home to look like a winter wonderland.

Dad was a great cook and took great pleasure in preparing meals for his loved ones (truly his love language).

He appreciated the simple things in life like watching TV or reading a good book.

He loved his family fiercely and showed it in the way he cared supported and always made time for the people he loved the most. Spending time with his grandchildren truly filled his heart with immense pride and joy.

Dad had a beautiful life with his wife, Joanne, and together they loved to travel. Their trips were filled with laughter and good times, and they created many special memories everywhere they went.

“For the body was far smaller than the heart it had held”

Ron is survived by his wife Joanne Donovan of 28 years; three sons: Bernie (Nadine), Ronald (Klever), and Victor (Chrissy); six daughters: Renee (Madonna), Carrie (Junior), Jennifer ( Stephen), and Diane (Michael); stepdaughters: Kara (Kevin) and Devon; a brother Victor Navarole (Helen) of Montreal; two sisters: Diane Brownscombe (Jack) and Peggy Lee (Clarence) both of Ontario; two sisters-in-law: Belinda (Bob) and Brenda ( Scott); 29 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dad, you will forever be loved and never forgotten.

In honouring Dad’s wishes a private family gathering was held. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists Halifax/Glace Bay. (902)849-4199.
