Sharon Vassallo, of Sydney Forks, passed away on February 5, 2026, after a brief illness at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Anne Vassallo.

She is survived by her siblings; Joe (Theresa) Vassallo, Georgina (Leo) Murphy, Anita Pierrynowski ( Mike predeceased), Ray (Robin) Vassallo, Lloyd (Denyse) Vassallo, Gary (Arlene) Vassallo, Paul Vassallo (Wanda predeceased), Irene Ball (Kenny), and brother-in-law, Dennis Miller. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Karen Miller.

Donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
