The family of David Nauss regret to announce his sudden passing on Friday, January 30, 2026. Born on September 1, 1947, in Halifax, N.S., David was the son of the late Margaret (Dawe) and Robie Nauss.

David moved to Glace Bay with his family after the death of his father. He grew up in Glace Bay and attended Morrison High School. David then joined the Armed Forces and spent his career there until his retirement.

David is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Valerie (Bath) Nauss and three daughters: Amy (Jamie) Bean, Kristina Nauss and Katie (Alfie) Nelson; grandchildren: Noah, Jacob, Kristofer, and Dakotah: great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Lyla, Theodore, and Auroah; sister Margaret Wadden, and sister-in-law Daphne Nauss.

Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his twin brother Robert Nauss and sister Lorraine Robertson.

As per Davids wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
