William Robert Murphy, 71, of Halifax passed away December 30, 2025 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of, Frances Murphy and Francis Murphy.
Billy was a line cook at Alexander's Pizza for several years. He was in a pool league since 1983 and won numerous trophies. He was a big movie buff and loved to read anything by his favorite author Clive Cussler or old war books. His favorite Holiday was definitely St. Patty's Day. He also loved Star Trek and considered himself a "Trekkie".
He is survived by daughter, Angela Murphy (Jordan Turner); two granddaughters, Madison Murphy and Paisley Turner; brothers, Stephen, Michael (Lona), Richard (Laura), Robert (Anne), Paul (Sherry); sisters, Christine, Pauline (James), Kathy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gwen and Bill Murphy; brother, Jimmy; sister, Patricia; and brothers-in-law, Derrick Roberts and Billy Stone; sister-in-law, Nancy Murphy and many nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to all who have helped me through this difficult time. And a very special thank you to my Aunt Kathy. She held my hand and walked me through every step. I couldn't have done it without her.
