It is with great sorrow that the family of Arladeen “Arla” Tomiczek, of Lingan, Nova Scotia, announce her passing at home on Friday, January 16, 2026. Born in Atikokan, Ontario, Arla was the daughter of the late Stan and Anne (McNeil) Tomiczek.

Arla devoted her working life to nursing, where she was known for her compassion, clinical skill, and calm, reassuring presence. She cared for others with patience and kindness, always placing the needs of her family and friends before her own. Arla found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her garden.

Arla is survived by her husband of 31 years, Wes Dingle; her son, Nick Tomiczek; her sister, Sandra Lee Tomiczek; and her two grandchildren, Wes and Craig Tomiczek.

At the family’s request, there will be no service at this time. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia (902-849-4199).
