Brian Thomas Campbell Obituary

Brian Thomas (Peck) Campbell, 68

Dominion, N.S.

It is with deep sorrow, that we, the family of Brian Thomas (Peck) Campbell of Dominion, announce his passing on Monday, January 19, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reserve Mines, N.S., Brian was the son of Mary E (MacNeil) and the late John Campbell.

At an early age Brian drove bus for the Adult Vocational School and worked in Wreck Cove. Brian was also a retired Miner and worked in the mines of Lingan, No. 26, and Phalen for 22 years. After the Coal Mines closed, Brian moved to Alberta, where he worked for Ensign before coming back home where he was employed in Port Hawkesbury. Later years found him tinkering in his garage fixing whatever he could.

Brian was Da and Poppa to many, he loved children. His humor and heart gained him many friends over the years. Brian would help anyone who needed it, he was a musician at heart; he loved music and playing his guitar. His younger years were spent in Loch Lomond and Mira with his family, never refusing a good party. Most of all Brian would wait for his 7 p.m. call from his mom to say their Rosary together. Brian will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Brian is survived by his wife Jean (Ellsworth); a son Brian Kenneth (Kenny), and two special sons Cody (Crystal) and Brandon; a daughter Karen Lee; mother Mary E Campbell, mothers-in-law Marg and Gert; sister-in-law and caregiver Kathleen (Keck); brother Willie (Sherry); his grandson who was his pride and love of his life Matthew and his two special girls who called him Poppy Ava and Aspen. Brian is also survived by a large extended family of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, as well as cousins with whom he enjoyed having a conversation with, they were always thought and spoken of.

Along with his father, Brian was predeceased by brothers Ronnie, and Bernie, sisters Lexie and Janie, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre.
