Michael Anthony Callaghan, 71, of Halifax, passed away at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site on January 5, 2026.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Stella Callaghan.

He worked at the Victoria General Hospital for 42 years and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his sister, Evelyn; and his brother, Charles (Cathy), both of Halifax; sisters, Eleanor (Gary) Cobb, Laura (Richard) Murphy, both of Lower Sackville; Stella (Rick) Baker, Porter’s Lake; Maureen Graves, and Mary Elder of Halifax. Michael also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Beechville, NS, 902-835-4212, where a service will take place on Tuesday January 13, 2025, at 1pm.
