It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Leigh (Allen) Pace (66) announce her peaceful passing on December 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, Janice was the daughter of the late Reginald and Joan (Beanlands) Allen.

Janice met her future husband Eugene (Geno) shortly after graduation from Saint Patrick’s High School in Halifax. Married for 46 years, Janice and Geno lived in Calgary for a few years before returning to Nova Scotia to be with family, and to raise their two daughters, Amanda and Danielle.

Friends and family will remember Janice for being a bright light — always smiling, kind-hearted, and full of joy. Even through illness, Janice was a ray of positivity. Janice was an avid golfer and member at Oakfield Golf Course. Her proudest golf achievement was a hole-in-one on hole 6 at Cabot Cliffs, during one of her and Geno’s many golf adventures. Janice (Nana) enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren, friends, and family.

Janice will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Eugene (Geno) Pace; her children, Amanda (Shane) Nolan, and Danielle (Scott) Tucker; grandchildren, Brielle Nolan, Brynlee Nolan, and Mya Tucker; siblings, Reg Allen, Susan (Robert) MacLellan, Tracey (Andrew) Margison, Ginny (Don) Crawley; and many extended family and countless unforgettable friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 07, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, in Oakfield Golf Course Clubhouse, 6055 Highway #2, Oakfield, Nova Scotia, B2T 1C6
