Terrance “Terry” Roberts,

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Terrance “Terry “Roberts at his home on December 25,2025. Born on January 26, 1947, in Glace Bay, Terry was the son of the late Terrance and Eva Roberts. He lived life boldly, with a larger-than-Life personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Terry was predeceased by the love of his life Diane, his daughters, Brenda and Tanya-Gail, and his brother Bobby.

He is lovingly remembered by his son’s Rodney (Sherry), and Jordan (Elizabeth), his grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Terrance (Shaina), Tyler (Samantha), and Morgan (Jordan), as well as great-grandchildren, Nate, Nick, Jace, Jameson, Emily, and Brooke (who was truly the light of his life). Terry is also survived by his brother Bill (Kathy), his sister, Gail (Trevor), as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

Terry worked for many years as a correctional officer before retiring. Retirement didn’t slow him down-he went on to purchase a beef farm, which he proudly worked for several years. Eventually, he returned to where his heart felt most at home: living by his beloved Mira River.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Terry loved anything that kept him outdoors, especially time spent on the water in Mira. He also loved socializing with his buddies in town, sharing stories, laughs, and a good time. Terry lived life to the fullest and was truly a force to be reckoned with-his bigger than life personality, strong presence, and unmistakable spirit will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S., 902-849-4199. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2,2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
