Kenny Munroe, 72

It is with great heartache that we the family of Kenny Munroe, of Dominion, N.S., announce his passing on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Duncan and Barbara (Wilson) Munroe.

Kenny was a construction worker and worked for many years with CBJ Demeyere Construction. Kenny enjoyed playing darts, tarabish, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He loved to just putter around the yard and socializing with his neighbors.

Kenny is survived by his wife Loretta Corbett of 43 years; a son Kerr (Michelle) Munroe, Halifax; a daughter Amber Dawn Munroe(Kyle), Dominion; five brothers: Daryl (Gatha), Roger (Winna), Mark (Susie), Kyle, and Byron (Colleen); two sisters; Marilyn (Bill), and Lorraine (Dave); three precious grandchildren whom he loved dearly Emilie, Abigail, and Laura; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and the extended Corbett family.

Along side his parents, Kenny was predeceased by a brother Alexander “Sandy” and many loving in-laws.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. As per Kenny’s wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time.
