Beverley Margaret LaPierre (Forbes), 82 of Lakeside, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday December 15, 2025, in the QEII Victoria General Hospital.

Beverley (Bev) was the daughter of the late, William and Edna (Strachan) Forbes.

Bev is survived by her daughters, Denise LaPierre-Taylor (Dana), and Tracey LaPierre-MacLeod (Brandon). Bev is also survived by her siblings, Jeanne Joseph, Sharon (Jimmie) Demont, Wayne, Brian, Marlene (Steve) Tizard; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Bev was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald; brothers, William and Gary; and sister, Nancy.

Bev absolutely loved her grandchildren, Nicholas (Jill), Andrew, Nathan (Shastalynne) and Connor and her niece Courtney (Liam), who she thought of as a granddaughter. Bev also especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Alayah, Kyla and Jack.

Bev worked numerous jobs as a young woman but was most fond of her time at Moir's Chocolate as a Packer and Dalhousie University as a custodian. Bev retired at a young age to care for her grandson, Nicholas. Bev loved to watch Andrew and Nathan play ball every summer, and she was thrilled to know Connor would finally be getting his license.

Thank you to the wonderful nurses and doctors at the Victoria General Hospital who helped our family through Bev’s final days. We are forever grateful to you.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00am in Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Dr., Halifax, with Archbishop Currie officiating.

Reception to follow at Fairview Legion, 50 Hillcrest St., Halifax. Burial to follow reception at Gates of Heaven, Lower Sackville.
