We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our wife and mother Phyllis Gray on December 12, 2025 at the age of 85 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary.

She was a daughter of the late, Francis and Muriel (Kirk) Smith.

Mom was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and Friend. Mom was an active member of St. James United church in Sambro, NS.

She loved being involved in the dinner theatre, choir, and many other events.

In her earlier years she worked at Moirs, Sears and in later years she was a homecare worker.

Mom had a great sense of humour and was pretty much game for anything. Oh, the shenanigans!

In 2015 mom suffered a life changing accident which left her paralysed from the chest down.

Her courage and strength were an inspiration to all. Dad looked after her in their home for many years until she went to Parkstone Enhanced care. Soon after he joined her there.

Mom loved and was dearly loved by her family.

Her passing will leave an empty Space in their hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Murray Gray of 65 years; sons, David (Nancy) Gray, Kevin (Lorrie) Gray; brother, Frankie (Beth) Smith; sisters, Vivian Horton, Marilyn Pasley; grandchildren, Ryan (Emily), Erin (Matt), Steven (Hannah), Sarah, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Reid, Bryn, Bret, Clara, Joni, Keona, Dezrell, Rakim, Xavier, and Daisy.

Predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Margaret Gray; brothers-in-law, Skippy Horton, and Gil Pasley.

A burial will take place at a alter date.
