Gregory William Goode Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Greg Goode shares news of his passing on December 4, 2025, in Sydney. Born in Toronto, ON, he was the eldest son of the late William and Zelia (MacDougall) Goode.

Dad’s childhood was a trail of good-natured mischief, keeping his family thoroughly entertained. He graduated from UCCB with a Bachelor of Business Administration and shortly after joined the Military, serving with the PPCLI in Calgary, AB. Valuing education throughout his life, Dad continued his studies in Computer Science and worked as a Solution Consultant, which brought him and his family to many places across Canada and the USA.

Dad is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sara (Dave) Witzell and Laura (Jalen) Borden, their mother Stella (Wall) Goode, and his beloved grandkids, Quinn, Ellis, Cole, and Westley, who affectionately called him “Boppy.” He is also survived by his siblings, Billy (Jenny) Goode and Jody (Paul) Gentile, his in-laws, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished his fun and adventurous spirit.

A man of sharp mind and quick wit, Dad stood tall in both presence and personality. He loved thoughtful conversation and could lose himself in a good debate. Deeply nostalgic, he often shared stories from his past- tales that filled his life, and the lives of those around him, with laughter. His sense of adventure extended beyond storytelling; he found peace and joy in scuba diving, a pastime that reflected his curiosity and love of the world.

Dad cherished his family, delighting in old photographs set to the soundtrack of his favorite 70’s music. Above all else, he adored his daughters and took profound pride in the lives they built.
