Fabian (Mabbie) Gracie, 86

It is with great sadness that we the family of Fabian (Mabbie) Gracie of Glace Bay, announce his passing on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at home. Born in Glace Bay, Mabbie was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret Gracie.

Mabbie was a simple man and worked for many years in Ontario, retiring back to his birthplace, the home of his heart Cape Breton. Mabbie loved spending time with family, Antique Cars, and of course his fur baby “Kitten.”

He is survived by two sons: Joe (Karen), and Kevin (Geraldine); a brother Danny, ON; five grandchildren: Ashley, Courtney, Kaley, Ava, Preston, Amy, and Brittney; four great grandchildren: Jackson, Aurora, Briar, and Willow.

Along with his parents, Mabbie was predeceased by his wife Mary, five brothers Jim, Leo, Charlie, Alfred, and Billy, as well as two sisters Alice and Liz.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Glace Bay. Interment will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
