George James Robinson Obituary

We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of our husband, dad, friend, and one of a kind guy George James Robinson of Lower Sackville. NS. George, age 59, passed away on November 19th, 2025, in Lower Sackville.

George was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and spent his early years in England before moving to Nova Scotia, where he then grew up attending Dartmouth Academy and senior year at Dartmouth High. From a young age, George carried with him a bright, spirited personality — one that only grew stronger throughout his life.

Anyone who knew George knew his infectious humor. He was bubbly, quick-witted, and always ready with a joke, prank, or playful comment to lighten any room. There was never a dull moment with George; he had a gift for turning the ordinary into something unforgettable.

George will be deeply missed by his loving partner of 21 years — his wife, his love, his poopsie, his honey Angela Robinson.

He will be deeply missed by his stepdaughter, Mikayla Marriott (Ryan Scott); and his best friend and pride and joy, his son, Carter Robinson. His grandchildren, Hannah (“Lucy”) and Lukas (“Grampy Lukas”) brought endless joy into his life. He loved every moment and day with them — the giggles, their hugs, the mischief, and all their crazy tickle fights.

He will also be missed by his step-sister, Susan Goodwin; brother, Tony Robinson (Hitomi Sakamoto); sister, Heather Robinson/Pitt (Tim Pitt); nieces, Shaye, Erica, and Allie; nephews, Tristan and Chris; cousins, Nick and Jacqueline, Gary, Rachel, aunt Betty; uncle, John, extended family in Europe, and lifelong family friend and childhood babysitter, Eileen Murphy. Plus, many many lifelong friends that loved George. George’s circle of friends was vast, and the number of lives he brightened over the years is simply immeasurable.

George was predeceased by his, mother Dawn Barnard (2001); father, George Robinson (2003); grandmother, Nora Barnard (2001); grandfather, John Barnard (1981); stepfathers, John Goodwin (2021), and Robert “Bob” Champagne (2004).

George’s natural talent for connecting with people began early. His sales career started on Spring Garden Road in Halifax at Mills Brothers, where he worked alongside his beloved mum, Dawn. It was there that he discovered not only his gift for sales but also the joy he found in making people feel welcome, valued, and seen.

He later built a long and successful career in the cellular and communications industry, dominating all cellular sales goals and achievements. These accomplishments that brought him great pride. After his cellular sales career, his love for cars led him to be a Service Advisor, which he also loved. His regular customers quickly grew to love George, always sharing stories back and forth with each other on things they had in common.

George was a businessman who was always thinking of new possible business ideas. He was proud of his daughter for starting her own small business, and so proud of his son's work ethic and determination as he recently graduated high school early and is working while enrolled at NSCC. In his early adult life, George made countless memories at his cottage on Molega Lake, one of his favorite places. He loved spending long days there, often surrounded by friends and family, laughs and fun times. He was always the first to say, “Come on down!” and he meant it. He also loved cruising and exploring new places, especially with Carnival Cruise Line. Travel brought him joy, and endless stories to share. And of course, George never turned down a good meal or special treat. He encouraged everyone around him to try new foods, because, as he’d say, “always try everything at least once”.

George touched countless hearts with his humor, compassion, and unforgettable presence. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, and he will be so, so, so deeply missed.

And one thing is certain: if anyone’s going to be causing little chaos from heaven, it’s George. Expect small surprises, random coincidences, and unexplained bursts of laughter — that’s just him, still pulling pranks, keeping us on our toes, and making sure life never gets too serious.

A big thank you to the doctors and nurses at Cobequid Health Centre, and his beloved family doctor whom he spoke very highly of, Dr. Oluwabamise “Dr. Wande”

Georgie Porgie — we love you so much, and we will miss you forever and ever.
