Glen Donald Mosher, age 64, of Herring Cove, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Hospital on November 9, 2025, after a courageous 10-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Halifax, Glen was the beloved son of Donalda “Donna” Mosher and the late Neil Mosher. He was deeply devoted to his family and lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love.
Following graduation from Queen Elizabeth High School, Glen joined the Canadian Navy, where he proudly served his country for 10 years and spent an additional 11 years in the Navy Reserves. His years in the service instilled in him a deep respect for history and military traditions. After his military service, Glen transitioned to civilian life and built a successful career with the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC), where he worked for over 30 years and was well respected by customers and colleagues.
Glen shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Dale (Wadden). He was a devoted father to son Kyle and daughter Holly (Daniel Jamieson). Holly and Dan recently announced that a grandchild is on the way and Glen would have been the best grandfather.
Glen was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends. He had a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. Known for his amazing sense of humour, Glen was easy to talk to, friendly, and an all-around wonderful person—there was truly no one like him. He loved all things historical, movies, cartoons, superheroes, and GI Joe figures. A true sports enthusiast, Glen enjoyed all sports, with hockey—and especially the Montreal Canadiens and Team Canada—holding a special place in his heart.
In addition to his mother, wife and children, Glen is survived by brothers, Barry (Hoa Nguyen) and Bruce (Nadine); mother-in-law, Dorita Wadden; sister-in-law, Shauna Wadden (Peter Hope); brother-in-law, Darren Wadden (Lori Parker); aunts, Carol Richardson and Sheila Cossar (Lot); many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his father, Glen was predeceased by father-in-law, Stanley Wadden; aunts and uncles, Joan Gibson (Andy), Myrna LeBlanc (Roger); Victor, Roger (Marion), and Glen (Eleanor) Mosher; Bob Richardson.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to Glen’s medical teams, with special gratitude to Nurse Practitioner Krista Smith for her unwavering care and kindness. We also acknowledge Glen’s long-time neighbours, who were not only wonderful friends but a constant source of support. To everyone who was there for us in any way, your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Beechville.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, with Words of Remembrance being shared at 3:00 PM, at Herring Cove Community Centre, 30 Latter Pond Lane, Herring Cove, NS.
The family invites you to wear your Montreal Canadiens, Team Canada, or Mooseheads jersey, or as a nod to Glen’s love of the holidays, your favorite red or Christmas attire.
