Age 93 of Indian Harbour, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 13, 2025.

She is survived by her 5 children, Robert Lee, Perry (Heather), Susan (Graham), Wanda (Edward), and Rosalie (Chris); 3 grandsons, Alexander, Matthew and Jordan (Emily); brothers, Ralph and Lloyd (Barb); brother-in-law, Maurice; sister-in-law, Mary Ann.

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert of 66 years; parents, Nathan McRae and Anna McRae (Schultz); brothers Harold and Richard; and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Margaret and Shirley.

Evelyn was a remarkable woman and mother to her children, who she adored and raised to be caring people. She stopped working to be home with them whenever they needed her. They honoured her wishes to be cared for at home for the last 4 years. She had a great sense of humour and could spell any word thrown at her, always claiming to be a great speller. She was an active member over the years with the Merry Makers and the ACW, doing crafts of embroidery or knitting, and many bake sales. She enjoyed playing cards especially rummy, cribbage and auction 45's, always outbidding to ensure the opposing team wouldn't win. She also cared for many cats over the years, taking in strays, and at one point owning 5 of them at once.
