Brian Gregory Byrne

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Brian Byrne at his home in Britt, Ontario on Wednesday August 13, 2025, at the age of 56.

Brian was a free spirit who travelled our country with many friends from coast to coast. He was loved and respected by all of them, but he always kept strong ties with his family and friends here at home.

Brian is survived by his loving parents, Dannie and Mary Lou Byrne; birth mother, Anna Byrne; brothers, Michael, Danny (Laurie); the most precious person in his life, his daughter, Marina; nieces, Brittany and Madeline; nephews, Michael, Ryan and Dawson as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Brian was predeceased by his birth father, Michael Juski; paternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Byrne; maternal grandparents, Michael Juski and Anne McLean.

The family would like to thank Dawn Trodd and the wonderful people of the Magnetawan First Nation, who accepted Brian into the community and provided a beautiful ceremony when Brian passed away. Brian, you will be missed and fondly remembered by all that were blessed by your presence.

Cremation has taken place. Brian’s family will be receiving guests on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
