It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn MacPhee, age 71, of Dartmouth, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at Dartmouth General Hospital.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of the late Corrine and Ronald Stephenson.

Cheryl worked for many years at Zellers in Cole Harbour, where she was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to her coworkers and customers alike.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Trevor Gazzard and Hunter MacPhee; daughters Tanya Gazzard (Bedford) and Melissa Gazzard (Halifax); brothers Brian Stephenson (Halifax) and Donnie Stephenson (Middle Sackville); sister Susan Stephenson (Hubley); and her cherished grandchildren Tyler Rodgers (Bedford), Nathan Penny (Bedford), and Olivia.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Corrine and Ronald Stephenson; sister-in-law Judy Morash; daughter-in-law Sheila Murphy; and granddaughter Natasha Murphy Gazzard.

A funeral service to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Dartmouth General Hospital for their compassionate care and support.

Cheryl will be remembered for her warmth, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her.
