Joshua Peter Kondraczynski
1979 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Peter Kondraczynski, 46, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the QEII – Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Joshua was the beloved son of Robert (Audrey) Kondraczynski and Rena (Al - deceased) Reinhardt (Caroll).
Josh was a man who truly came alive in nature. Whether casting a line into a quiet lake, hiking through the woods, or setting up camp under the stars, he found peace and joy in the great outdoors. A skilled woodsman and an adventurous soul, he had a deep respect for the natural world and the animals who shared it—especially his loyal dog, Shodda, his constant companion and best friend.
Josh had a heart as big as the world he loved exploring. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and never hesitate to lend a helping hand. Family meant everything to him. He loved his children, parents, and siblings deeply, and his friends were like family too. One of his cherished memories was a childhood trip to Disney with his dad—a story he loved to tell with a smile. He also held a special place in his heart for his mom’s home in the country, where he always felt grounded and at peace.
Josh shared a rare and beautiful bond with his partner, Megan MacLeod. Their love was genuine and unwavering—a true partnership built on care, laughter, and deep understanding.
He will be forever missed by his parents, Robert (Audrey) and Rena (Al - Deceased) (Caroll); his loving partner Megan; his children Dawson, Rhyanna, and Jayna; his brothers Joel (Tiffany) and Simon; his sisters Laura and Leeanne Kondraczynski (the mother of his children); and by many special friends who were blessed to know him.
Josh was predeceased by his stepfather, Al Reinhardt, with whom he shared a close and loving bond growing up.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of QEII – 7A for their care, and a very special thank-you to his mom, dad, and best friend Karen Brown for their continued support, unfailing love, and presence during Josh’s journey. Deep gratitude is also extended to all his dear friends who stood by his side until the end.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice, in honor of Josh’s lifelong love of animals.
Josh’s adventurous spirit, kind heart, and warm smile will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
