Age 62, of Halifax died on October 19, 2025 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Halifax he was the son of Roberta Myra and the late Edward Myra.
Mitch worked at Kidston Glass for over 35 years and then ReGroup; he enjoyed fishing with his brother-in-law Jeff and going to Point Pleasant Park with his wife Debbie and feeding the squirrels and going to the Dingle for walks with her.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Webb) Myra of 41 years; brother, Michael (Trina) Myra; sister, Deidre (Arnold) Newcombe and several nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Mitch can be made to the Mental Health Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis.
Special thanks to his sister Deidre for always being there and helping through the tough times, ICU nurse Teri as she was amazing and so helpful and all the doctors in the Emergency Department.
