Thelma Cummins, 80 of Halifax passed away October 18, 2025 at DePaul Hall, Halifax. Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of Fred and Greta (Lyon) Wheatley.

Thelma is survived by her son, Robert Cummins (Holly); daughter, Krista Cummins (Steven); grandchildren, Brody, Ryan (Bree), Kayla (Daniel), Courtney (Adam); great-grandchilden, Payton, Emma, Dani and Indie; several nephews and nieces; and longtime friends, Carol and Sarah Cluett.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband, James Cummins; parents, Fred and Greta (Lyon) Wheatley; sister, Anna Brown.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, 767 Main Street, Dartmouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
