Randolph Cleveland (Randy) Corbin Lt(N) CD retired passed away on 8 September 2025 at the age of 71.

Randy was born in Summerside PEI to Verne and Violet Corbin. He is survived by his sisters Sunda McCarty and Laverne Lent and his son Jeffery Corbin. His other living relatives by marriage are Moira Macleod, Bruce and Geraldine Grychowski, Lloyd and Beverly MacLeod, Thomas Khatter, Catherine and David Mackenzie, plus all of his nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

Randy met Wanda in 1982 and married her in 1984. Together they spent 43 great years together in both Halifax and Ottawa. For 15 of those years they were constantly with their beloved dog Gizmo.

After High school in Advocate Harbour NS, Randy underwent carpentry training at NSIT and worked in the construction trade for a couple of years. He then attended Acadia University for two years. Looking for adventure, Randy enrolled in the Canadian Forces as a naval office candidate in 1978. This began his 35 year career as a Naval Officer. He served Her Majesty’s Canadian Ships NIPIGON, ASSINIBOINE, IROQUOIS and TORONTO. He also served at CFB Cornwallis as a training officer, and id a short exchange posting with the Argentine Navy. The rest of his career was in the MARLANT Headquarters in Halifax and in various capacities in the National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa.

Upon his retirement in 2014, Randy spent his time with the Halifax classic car club showing off his 1965 Ford Thunderbird and his 1988 Ford Thunderbird. When not working the cars, he did fine wood work in his shop or helped with renovation projects.
