Noel Beverly Spencer
Dominion
It is with a heavy heart that we the family announce the sudden passing of Noel Beverly (Taylor) Spencer, 65, of Dominion, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Friday, October 17, 2025, after an extended battle with kidney disease.
Born in Glace, she was the daughter of the late Charles Douglas and Barbara Jean (MacLeod) Taylor.
In Noel’s younger years, she enjoyed tennis and was an avid writer which would reflect in her beautiful poetry. Over the years, Noel could be seen at the bingo halls with all her friends. She went back to school to finish her education, of which she was immensely proud. Her courage and strength were outstanding which she showed in her battle with kidney disease, she was truly a warrior.
Noel is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Alphonse Spencer; their children, Elizabeth, Mandi (Chris), Angie and Ryan (Melanie); her precious grandchildren, whom she adored, Mark, Rylan, Aiden, Skylar, Kaliegh, Brody, Nathan, Brycon and Miranda; as well as two beautiful great grandchildren. Noel leaves behind her brothers, Johnny (Mary), Sammy (Kathy); sisters, Heather (Malcolm), Lorna (John) Margie and Martha; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Norma), Tommy (Anita); sisters-in-law, Ann Marie, Debbie (Blair) and Veronica (Alfred); many nieces and nephews as well as her little fur baby Gizmo.
Along with her parents, Noel was predecease by her baby sister Mary Jean in infancy.
The family would like to thank the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, 4D, for their excellent care. Special thank you to Billy Gilliam who showed such excellent care and compassion towards Noel, your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten, she said you were like her baby brother, and we will be forever grateful.
