It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David “Lopey” Lohnes. David left us peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on October 2, 2025 at the age of 77.

David was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 30, 1948, to Molly and Ian Lohnes.

He is survived by sisters, Linda, Sadie and Cathy.

He was predeceased by brothers, Donnie and Philip, and his parents.

After high school, David worked with his father at Arthur and Conn Limited where he completed the requirements to become an electrician. Following that, he worked for several years with the Nova Scotia Power Corporation.

In 2005 David traveled to Alberta for work until 2016 when he returned to his Nova Scotian home.

David had a fun-loving sense of humour, was a fan of nice cars, and he always owned a Harley Davidson Motorcycle! He will be missed by his friends and family.

A family service will be held later.
