It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Duhamel, age 63, on September 28, 2025, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

Born and raised in Glace Bay, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving spouse, Jon Macintosh; her children, Charles Moffatt (Caroline Donnelly) and James Moffatt; and her cherished granddaughters, Lucy, Callie, and Madeline, who brought immense joy to her life.

Shirley dedicated her time to volunteering at the local food bank, where her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. Everyone who knew her loved her—she was truly a joy to be around, with a warmth and spirit that will be deeply missed.
