It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Jimmy Campbell, at the age of 74, on July 11,2025 at home.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late James and Petronella Campbell.

Jimmy was in the army for two years, then was employed at Sydney Steel, the fish plant and later, he worked as a silviculture in the forestry industry.

Jimmy is survived by his loving partner, Diane Kop and her children; brothers, Michael (Marion), Aubrey, Stephen (Cindy), Gary (Eileen). Paul (Debbie); sisters, Diane, Teresa Doucette, Alice Lepage (Doug), Marlaine Adien (Salam), Cheryl Hutchings (Gerald), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. with the memorial service on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. all taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Dr. Trevor Guy for his care and compassion given to Jimmy.
