Pratt, Gordon Lewis, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27 at home. Born to Lewis Pratt and Gertrude (Cox) Pratt in Lower Selma, Hants County, he and his late wife, Barbara Joan (Hennigar) Pratt lived in Kearney Lake for 60 years, raising three children.

Gordon is survived by daughters Shawna (Peter) Pratt, Cole Harbour, Lisa (Glen) Stetina, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and son Mark, Rockingham. Also left to mourn are grandchildren Sierra, Winnipeg, Manitoba; Liv, Cambden and Harlow, Halifax.

Aside from his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by son-in-law Bill Marshall.

A member of the Halifax Regional Fire Department for 26 years, he retired in 1994. Gordon had many part time jobs over the years, heavy equipment operator, dump trucks, oil trucks and from time to time was seen driving Downeast Communications, Community Events Hummer.

Gordon suffered chronic illness in his later years, and the family would like to thank the many paramedics who showed such compassion and care during that time and of course to his many great caregivers, especially of late Angela, Barbara, Laura, Lynn, Maggie and Elena.

Cremation has taken place, and visitation will be Wednesday July 16th from 6 – 8 pm at TJ. Tracy’s - 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Beechville, NS B3S 1C4
