It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elaine Beatrice (Hennessey) Brufatto, 76, at the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Drumbeller, Alberta, Elaine was the daughter of the late Raymond and Shirley (Smith) Hennessy.

Elaine enjoyed gardening and she loved to knit, sew and bake.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold ‘Howie’; son, Matthew (Sandy) Brufatto, Halifax; daughter, Lori Brufatto; brothers, Wally Hennessey, Halifax, and Keith (Lena) Hennessey, St. Peters; six grandchildren, Elyssa (Guri), David, Logan, Jade, Josh, and Bradley; two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Harshiv; as well as several nephews and nieces.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jeanie Hennessey.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, NS, 902-849-4199. At the family’s request, there will be no service.
