With broken hearts we the family of Karen Elizabeth Ogley, 60, of Glace Bay announce her passing in the Seaview Manor, Glace Bay on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Karen was the daughter of the late Walter and Ann (Martin) Ogley.

Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially Lucas who she shared a special bond.

Karen is survived by a daughter Ashley, grandsons Carson, Lucas, and Markus, as well as a granddaughters Kylee, Talia, and Mariah.

Raised in a large family, Karen is survived by brothers David/Butch (Gladys), Pat (Joeyanne), Lloyd (Karen), Barry, Paul (Shelly), Bernie (Rhea) and Blaine/Mecca with who she shared a special friendship: sisters Kay (Morris), Beatrice, Hilda (Bruce) and Bernadette/Detsy.

Karen was predeceased by her parents Walter and Ann (Martin) Ogley, a daughter Tera, siblings Walter, Tom, Max, Frank, Charles, Blair, Melvin, Billy, Joey, Raymond, Norma, Lena, Martha, sisters-in-law Ausha, and Sharon, as well as brothers-in-law Danny and Sammy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Seaview Manor for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Karen during her stay, especially her nieces Val and Crystal, who went above and beyond to be sure her stay was as comfortable as possible. Karen was treated like family by the entire care team.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1-2 p.m., and a Celebration of Life to follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Sheldon Chant presiding, all in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
